My understanding is after 180 days of 485 filing, even if the employer revokes the approved 140, the 485 application does not get affected if you apply AC21 and let USCIS know that you have changed employment and the job duties are similar. Is it true? or is there is any risk if employer revokes 140?

Dear Mr. President:
This email is to register a strong protect against the visa bulletin released for Jun-09. In the tough time of 2009 that USA is facing, you are trying to do everything you can to protect the futures of the citizens of your country and I admire you for that. I would also like to point out that the visa bulletin pushes back dates for EB2 Indians to Jan-00 which virtually means no green card for Indians unless they are in EB1 category. I have spent almost 9 years in this country, legally. In 2005, I initiated the process for green card through EB immigration. While many others from different countries such as Europe, Asia and also China came here much after I have and contributed less than I have, they have gotten their green cards much sooner than I have and some of them have even become citizens. When I say I, a lot of my fellow citizens also face this unjust separate queue for Indians.
Please help me understand as to how someone from country A having a longer queue than country B coupled with an indefinite time wait is a fair and equitable treatment?
I understand that you feel sensitive to protect jobs of Americans in these tough economic times, however; it is beyond comprehension that while citizens of all other countries are being welcomed with no wait for green card in employment based category that there are virtually no green cards left for any Indian, even for those who have stayed here longest.
My message may or may not ever reach you but, I wanted to register a strong protest against unjust treatment meted out to me in the area of immigration.

The purpose of this letter is to impress the person you are sending this to. You do not do that by protesting and complaining. Your letter need to be professional, courteous and grammatically correct and pleasant to read. Remember, the purpose is to impress and sell your point of view to President himself. Poorly drafted letter may actually have a negative impact, especially when we are claiming ourselves as skilled professionals.

Can someone with a paypal account come forward and take over a fund? Anyone with a paypal account can donate any amount using a nickname and we can publish the nickname along with the amount donated on this thread. What is wrong if people want USCIS to process EB based I485 strictly on PD as per the law. You may claim that is what they are doing, but it is not true all of us know that. This whole thing is working like the GC lottery with more complexity.
I would say IV should make PD based processing as the top most priority in their agenda. This is the simplest thing that can be acheived. Asking USCIS to follow the rules is not as complex as lobbying for ending GC backlog.
People coming up with points of legal stay and other things are just frustated with the system, they want something which is more predictable in the current process not just eliminating GC backlog due to visa numbers.
Asking people to attend state chapters and asking people to contribute is ok, but trying to shutdown peoples thoughts just because they are not the same as someone elses in not right

If you want to express your ideas and thoughts, do it in a way that its heard by people that matter. Your ideas and thoughts heard by other people like you is meaningless. These things need lobbying the Administration. Lobbying the administration is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT and EXPENSIVE than lobbying congress. Why? Because each office of Congress has a boss that faces elections very often. Every 2 years in House and every 6 years in the Senate. Plus they have 535 offices (435 in House, 100 in senate). That means easier access. On the other hand, there is only one office heading USCIS, office of Emelio Gonzalez, and only one Michael Chertoff and only one DOJ and its FBI. So the access of more difficult and lobbying is more expensive.
When it comes to administration, you have limited leverage. Other than 2 people in the entire administration, no one is getting job by elections. The only 2 positions in this branch of Government that are elected and directly accountable to people are President and Vice President. Mike Chertoff of DHS or Emelio Gonzalez of USCIS wont lose next election coz those are on appointed positions not elected positions. Which also means that they dont have to worry about making people angry.
So you see, ASKING for good things like FIFO and Faster namecheck is great in theory. But please understand, from a civic lession viewpoint, the 3 branches of government viewpoint and then make suggestions.
Is Immigration Voice an organization that can raise 100,000 a month each month? NO. Not right now. Right now, people are busy checking their mailboxes for EAD cards. Out of 23,000 registered members, if each contribute $5 a month (equivalent to a burger, fries and coke), it is 100,000 a month. But it wont happen.
So until that happens, feel free to express your thoughts and opinions and brilliant ideas and happy forum discussion. If that's what makes you all happy and content.

A lot of people in EB2 and EB3 can qualify for auto adjustment of status now, so it will remove people from EB3 queue making it smaller.

We reported earlier that the USCIS had allegedly received total of 800,000 cases for the July VB fiasco cases. There is an unconfirmed report that they have completed the receipting only half way through of the total, meaning approximately 400,000. There are no sources of information to verify or confirm the figures. However, if it is correct, the USCIS has yet to process mountains of receipting workloads ahead and the filers have some additional sleepless nights which they will have to endure for a while. AMEN!
