If this happens it will be a bad news as given environment I 140 approval takes years . Very soon there will be a backlog in I 140 stage.. They are just swaping backlog from one stage to another..

Since your wife is the primary applicant as you mentioned I dont think you need to wait for 180 days. Your employer is no way concerened with your EAD/ GC. But in case both you and your wife are working for same H1 employer then you moving might ring alarm bells for him but in case 180 days are already over then there is not much he can do.

The problem is not the hours I worked as I've always worked legally and within the laws of the University and visa status.
The problem is proving that I filed my taxes, which I did but I can't produce evidence and neither can the IRS.

Think twice before you jump into mistakes. How can you survive in USA if you dont have a job.
I agree with the other post, you probably might be better in India in this economy.
Also US is becoming something else, due to the pressure from "protectionalists" and you need to wait and see what happens in an year or so. This is not 1998, it is 2009.
To answer your question, you chances for 2010 H1B is extremely low.

I have heard such cases and as per law, you are responsible to bring it to the USCIS notice about their mistake. Since you have one more month left, it is better to work with your attorney to iron out this issue. Make sure you bring this to UCSIS notice.
TO get 3 year extension your attorney needs to file the copy of approved 140along with the request for H1b extension. Make sure to ask for H4 also if you have one.

Use G325A since it has four pages. Each page will be sent to different places written at the left bottom of each page. My lawyer sent me G325A.
I disagree. if you read the instructions on Form I-485 it clearly states nder the inital evidence that you are required to submit Form G325A. No where did they mention GA 325.
So if i were you, I would agree to the earlier post to submit the G325A along with all your details in a letter or wait for a receipt.
Consult your attorney.
