If you think it is that ridiculuous, then you should tell the core members that. They did ask us to call him on the last day of LD. There is nothing wrong in writing to him. In fact, you are making a comparison that is not correct.

I am waiting for FP .Even I have called TSC having intention to open SR ,i got the reply all files are up to date and they can not open SR for FP ...Files indicate that FP is complete.(God knows what they mean,whose fingerprint they have on my file) ....I have not given any FP so far except at the PORT of entry .

It is great to see human nature at work. Once united and making phone calls for the 3 lofgren Bills...the same folks are mulling it out over EB2, EB3 and how most of the folks dont even deserve to be either....Interesting fodder for Anti Immi folks.....
W/o demand there is no supply or acceptance of Foriegn nationals in an alien land. Obviously there are some that abuse teh system...
But that is not the intention of IV to solve for rooting the abusers out. Its the USCIS's job to do that. Like they abolished the Subs labor process.....they may as well make EB1, 2 and 3 more restrictive they actually did make EB2 more restrictive when PERM was launched...
So lets all concentrate on what our role in this whole mess is..that is to support IV wholeheartedly...Please focus on the big picture and enjoy life!!!!!!!!!

If you have h4 stamp in your passport , you can go out of the country and comeback in and you would be back in h4 status. Short of that I don't see any other option. Ohers please chip in with your ideas.

I am in a similar situation...I have been on H1B since Oct�07 and prior to that I was on a valid F1 status. Not been on a client project since mid-Sep'08, have not been paid from past 5 months.
My employer is not helping with either COS to H4 or port H1B to another employer, by not providing REAL paystubs for the past 5 months. I have been actively working with my employer to find new work and I have all evidence of this in emails. I cannot report to work, as the office is too small for more than two people to comfortably work under normal working conditions.
When I ask employer for back wages, I get threatened that they will issue a backdated termination letter to Sept 2008 (employee not terminated yet), though I have been actively working with them to find new work? I am also being asked to submit a fake personal leave letter for the past 5 months.
How do I know if my H1B has been revoked? I know there are many issues and questions raised here...
Greatly appreciate your time in responding to this...

As per law one should have intent to work full-time for the employer (or AC-21 employer) at the time of approval. There is no time period specified.
The intent, of course, can change after some time. Lawyers differs on the duration. Some argue it is 90 days, whereas others suggest 180 days or 1 year.

Yup, kshitijnt you are right on target, we need to do some thing constructive and let our voices heard.
BECSufferer made it right heading...channel your anger.
My intention was more to think in right way and discourage potential -ve result bound strategies.
During presidential campaign there were all over promises on clearing backlogs, we can go on that basis and make a point of that.
One thing is clear if they like to stop outsourcing sure they have to encourage and stream line legal immigration they cannot stop or survive but cutting outsourcing as well leaving this legal immigration in limbo.
Besides what we can do at this juncture, keep our voices heard by contacting, writing letters.
1. In a world leading country processing a decade back applications is not an encouraging trend to legal immigration, this may send a wrong signal to legal immigration over illegal immigration.
2. Can highlight ecomonic point based on these math...
Ex: 500,000 EB backlog persons contribution to the country, social taxes = xxx, medicare = xxx, travel=xxx, housing =xxx.

in trouble. I am not on H1 but I think the moment you get H1, in this case COS from H4 to H1 within few months you should have paying job. There will be problem at time of extension if no paystubs are present. Bench or not employer need to Pay H1b if he has hired one.

First of all - Stay away from X ( be it american/russian or whatever company)
From your post it seems like Y is a kind of better in behaviour, closer to Home
, wants to help you in GC ( FROM SCRATCH) but you dont want to pay for GC cost of 8000-9000 again ( what you wasted already ).
I'm not a legal counsel/mentor or lawyer but in mY opinion - You find a company Z which has similar criteria as Y but only additional criteria is they will bear the cost of your GC - Its not difficult to find such Z ( worst case they may ask you to sign a bond of 7-10K if you leave them 1 yr after GC) ....
After you get GC or EAD at hand you have lots of avenues open to tackle any bond that Z might have made you sign.

When I joined Company X (prior employer) I paid for H1b transfer fee and h1b renewal fee(total $3200 + $3000).
They agreed to sponsor my green card(just to give required paperwork) and they asked me to pay GC cost, So far I have paid $1500 for labor +$1700 advertisement + $1700 for I-140 + $3750 just now to file I-485 for me and for my spouse as dates were current to my lawyer . I have labor and I-140 approved from Company X.
I was compromising my personal life by staying away from my family and company X didn't find any client near to my home. I decided to stay at home hoping Company X will find some client near to my home. I was on a bench(no salary for a month).When I asked for a "employment letter "to file I-485 Comapny X said they can't give because they are
not paying me , I said I will resign and then you give me "future employement letter". I resiged Company X( i found company Y near to my home), in 10 days they cancelled my H1b visa without informing me, gladly I found Company Y and H1b transfer took place before they could cancel my H1b. Company X is reluctant even today to give future emplyement
letter.They are ready to do corp-to-corp, for that I have to pay them H1b tranfer cost of $3200(as my prior h1b got cancelled by company X) . I don't beleive its worth going back to them , but at the same time never wanted to lose $8650 green card cost. To join Company Y again I paid h1b transfer fee and , company Y expects me to pay Green card cost again. I am on 7th year extension. New H1b is valid till 2010(3 yr extension on I-140 approval from company X).
Shall I start green card again with company Y ?
Company X doesn't respond to emails/calls. There should some law to protect us from such employers. BTW Employer X was an american employer and wants to follow book-rules.Example .. informing USCIS to windraw H1b petition.
