I am in same boat, I took a Infopass today and met with a IO in NYC. She said she will do the needful as the dates are current by communicating with TSC and if nothing happens I have to come back in 45 days. I do not have hopes but lets see what happens

Things are no so easy - if laws could be changed easily, lot of lobbyists have way more than 1 MM dollar - that's not any big money at US ... Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney wasted 35 MM personal fortune, Billary Clinton in strangled in 15-20 MM election debt where as Barack has created a historic fund raising record ( who single mother has raised him by taking help from Food stamp )
Everything is not just money (at least in America) - the line of money ends somewhere - even America being a Capitalist Nation. You know why Dick cheney is hated by 75% of Americans ?????:)
We need to raise a million $. Anything less is seeming to just not cut it.

Department of Homeland security (DHS) doesn't conduct background checks for Adjustment of Status cases. These are done by FBI which is a part of Department of Justice.This DHS announcement has nothing to do with background checks for AOS cases.

Out of 105960 filed applications, 79,782 applications have been certified, and Indians have 22,298, which is almost 28 % (DOL certified EB petitions).
I was looking at the flcdatacenter website for Perm labors filed in 2006, and here are the numbers of total perm filed :
Total : 105960
India : 26636 = 25.2%
China : 8222 = 7.75%
No wonder china is moving faster in the EB categories

This is what we are doing every day. Our team & QGA are in constant touch with the offices of several senators. We are definitely concentrating on the 2 senators you have named here. We are very hopeful that something will come up soon. But again until it really comes to the floor all we can do is keep the hope and spirits high!!!!

Usually, the I-485 application is considered abandoned and eventually denied if you dont show up for finger printing...
However, if your I-140 from the previous employer is approved, you can still use that to port your PD to your current petition...You might need a copy of the old I-140 approval to do so....

All EB priority dates for July 2007 is current. Hence everyone can go for concurrent filing right away.

I am a July 17th filer and my attorney received my receipts for EAD, AP and AOS on September 18th. The attorney says I should get my copy of the receipts but I haven't received anything as of today (September 23rd). Lawyer gave me receipt numbers and will send me a copy but I don't think it is necessary to have the originals.

I am the guy who started this thread. I was worried about not having paystubs from my previous H1B holder, and if that would affect my chances of H1B transfer with this other company I am with right now. My transfer got approved in TWO days (during mid Dec. last year). Yes, I did go through premium processing, but approval in TWO days! That was great.
Anyway, can anyone tell me where I go from here? To be precise, what is the maximum time limit to go for stamping to a visa consulate? Please advice.

In 2003, there should be a demand of 23% of 300K (couting spouses)=69K. Total visas are about 140K per annum. So there should be some movement. i dont understand why there will be no movement.
From the numbers, I had kinda thought in Feb that it was very surprising EB-2 India was not moving, and seems like I was right.
Anyways, I hope we all continue to move :)
