my case was recieved Dec 07. (H1B extension)
The website says they're processing Dec 21

Your next step would be to copy this and post it in anti-immigration site. Go ahead.... I have seen my suggestion being copied and posted in anti-immigration site.
Thanks for finding this out. Anyway, who in hell would file for a labor certification when companies are laying off. As per the rules companies cannot apply for labor certification for 6 months from last layoff.

I had the same problem. I got the card valid for only 2 months instead of one year. I submitted a new application along with which I submitted all the required documents as if I was filing for a new card. Additionally I submitted the Original card which had the typo and a letter explaining the typo. I did not submit any fee. I got my new card after two months. Please go through the instructions on the EAD application which contains information about replacement card.

Yes, I understood AP approvals cannot be posted to Outside US. You have to be physically present in US while it gets approved.
But one thing is NOT clear from the "rsdang's" statement "Caution - Please talk to lawyer as there is some stuff around abandoning your petition is you go out of country before approval... "..

Any other opinions from other Gurus of the forum?
I checked with my attorney and he confirmed that there shouldn't be any issue with the AOS petition. But he didn't confirm what will happen to my AP extension petition. I am still waiting for his response.

As i had indicated earlier, I spoke with my employer, he cannot do anything in terms of lobbying - but has agreed to do things. He will donate to IV and he will write a letter stating that small businesses like ours need to be able to fully utilize the capabilities of the employers...and it helps to have the green card.
Not sure who the letter needs to be addressed to, any suggestions would be helpful.
We can use all the help we can get. Could you send details of this to our moderators StarSun and Pappu.

This is due to the change of address. The receipts which were returned to USCIS will be mailed back to your new address based on ur address from Ar-11 database. Nothing to worry. I had the same status and today I received the receipts which were returned back to them from my previous address.
I asked her if it is change of address they sent she is not sure but she said usually it is the card when Current Status: is "Document mailed to applicant."
She put in a service request for me and she some one is going to contact me in 30 business days.

if the application was approved and the wife was on h4 (but didnot file her i485 yet..) then she could still file for her i485?

I think we can get some financial support from Housing Market !
Facts:

The housing market is slowing down significantly and there are millions of unsold homes out there.
More than 1/2 million people are stuck in the green card process. I am sure
most are waiting for green card before they buy their house and make longtime commitment.
I think we are a "Frozen" pool of customers for the Housing Market.
500000 H1B X 200000 (average house price) = 100 billion dollar market is just
inaccessible just because of retrogression.
I think we should convince them to help us FINANCIALY.
Please IV Core members take this idea seriously and at least
SEND A LETTER TO National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) president.

Reason is simple, their customers are mostly non-US citizens. Their prime objective is to earn as much money as they can for the US treasury, if that means 'Screw Immigrants' than let it be, who cares ?
So any positive things like 10 years EAD/AP are dreams which will never come true...We should certainly put our case for 3 years EAD/AP combined document.

I have a question regarding an appeal I did a year ago for a rejected LC.
I have an approved LC and I-140 on an entry level position (EB3) with my company. after I got a promotion to a senior position that requires a masters degree but with a smilar job description but more senior and supervisory responsabilities with the same company. after promotion, I filed for a new LC (EB2) but it got rejected because DOL thinks it is the same position as the already approved LC. my company and I wrote a letter as an appeal on Sep 2006 within 30 days from rejection of LC to BALCA explaining that new position requires a masters degree and it is a senior position with more supervisory duties. as of today, almost a year later, we haven't heard anything regarding DOL (BALCA) decision on my appeal. is anybody in the same situation?? what should I do next?? also I read somewhere that DOl might revoke the already approved LC EB3 after I filed a second LC for EB2 with the same employer. can DOL revoke the first LC EB3 after I have an approved I-140?? please help. You can get EAD and AP when you apply for I 485. After you get EAD you can apply for SSN. Looks like you and your mom have not yet applied for I-485. If that's the case, then unfortunately you won't be eligible for FAFSA as per my knowledge. I may be wrong.

mate have you heard of thread hijacking? anyways looks like you have a weird one...when you say "resubmitted" it seems like they have lost your application once before as well? How are they accepting 485 application for you? what category are you in and whats your pd?
Filed when date was current, it returned back by USCIS error. Resubmitted with the evidence on Nov along with the USCIS letter. Is that clarify ur doubt.
