When ever IV go and seek advise from Law firm or lobby firm they charge some money. No one is giving free advise in USA. We cannot run random campaign becasue people will not participate if no out come. We need to find out perfect time. Also we , and IV are common people who came from foriegn country and have no idea of whole US immigration system but law / lobby firm do.
If you and other sincere member contribute and participate activelly we may achive something. May be just giving few USD will not help. But there were so many anti coming to site and harming our agenda. since we have donor forum few anti come there. So if you are serious do contribute and get donor status. Participate in state chapter and work with IV and all of us. That will make date current for all.
So who is the leader who is responsible of DOING stuff with that money when I contribute

All we are asking is to support some kind of action against the USCIS...
we just need to mobilize ourselves... this is not a fight for EB-2 or EB-3... but for the whole legal immigration system... let's just do something
we are looking at specific situations where the legal immigrant community was affected... and right now its the non sequential processing of the applications for EB-2...
for EB-3 we will need to make similar points which we can raise with Ombudsman or some other authority... we just need to find instances where people were affected... for example delays in EAD.. and that is for EB-2 and EB-3

I am a new member joining the IV team.

Case was filed on July 6th (485, 131 and 765). Not sure when it reached NSC.
I-140 approved from TSC in 2006.

In ideal situation Desi employer should provide value rather than just scrape money as revenue sharing mechanism.
If a desi employer can go and get projects and becomes preferred vendor, he would not even do H-1s. He will use a Sub. Believe me H-1B visa is a pain in the ass even for the employer too.
There is a reason desi employers exist. both the desi employers and desi employees pick the best possible scenario/solution with respect to their situation.

Issue is there are thousands of high skilled professional with approved labor and I-140 , waiting for years to file I-485.... DOS told then on 13th June that you all can file I-485 and all of the sudden on 2nd July 07 DOS said we can't accept your application...
So madam secretary it's not issue of how many high skilled professional wants to come here. Infact DOS/USCIS/Govt. of US need to think how life is tough for those high skilled professional who already came here and waiting for years to get green card through legal system....

You got it just right. Dear friend, this is the truth for immigrant community. Everyone here stands for their own GC, how can we expect others to fight for you. So as and when USCIS hurts different categories, people come here and form a loosely coupled organization.

Sanju my friend, why sarcasm ? This is such wonderful information, why can't this be made more public, posted in a prominent position on IV ? Why should members do research to get this info when it can be relatively easily acquired by Quinn Gillespie & Assoc and given to core ? Come on man, a little bit of information like this goes a long way with members.

I don't know why core or admins here do not give out this information, you could ask them, but I do know that folks here should grow up and be mature not scared to do their own research, because the best thing we can do for ourselves is, research and gain knowledge. I did a simple google search and within 5 minutes I found this information. So if someone wants to find information, there is no scarcity of relevant information online. Non-compete are notoriously hard to implement. Most of the courts don't want to prevent people from earning a livelihood. When Microsoft sued its ex-employee who joined Google, it was a rare exception when any company even bothered to sue for a non-compete.
The reason your employer is not willing to give you a copy of what you signed is that they fear you'll take it to an attorney and she/he will tell you it means nothing. Anyhow, non-compete is the last thing you need to worry about.
If they illegally withheld your pay for GC expenses, you can make things difficult for them. But in that case you should hire and attorney and she/he should write them a letter and ask for your money back. If you beg them for your money, they'll just laugh at you.
If it's possible in any way, part with good vibes, though that doesn't seem likely here. Good relationships are always worth the efforts, even with crooked ex-employers.

For those of you joining us late, here is some info about this thread.
1. This is to do our least part to the core IV Team for their selfless sacrifice, for all of us getting the benefits of legal immigration. Note that , Aman Kapoor , the co-founder of IV has done his part by sacrificing $64,000/- from his own personal funds towards the administrative costs of IV. Yes you read it right , it is $64,000/- We come to know from his co-worker that he has sold his house towards running this show for us.
2. We have not yet figured out a way to reimburse these costs as IV does not yet have administrative costs part of the expenditure allocation, as we understand it. So instead of a wait and watch, we decided to go ahead with collecting the pledge from the members on the amount they are putting forth for reimbursing the amount. Once we come up with a strategy(members we look for your suggestions on how to get this done, please add your comments) we will instruct the members pledged to pay out.
Please help us spread the message about this thread in other threads by copy and pasting the following in other threads too.
There is a funding drive in this other thread towards reimbursing Aman and other core IV member's expenses towards the administrative costs of IV.

The goal of this action item is to get as many impacted EB folks to write to/talk to their lawmakers. i assume that is why this action item was announced on the public forum.
For every anti-immigrant who might view this message, we hope that there will be 20-50 EB folks who speak up and act on the action item. We cannot be scared of opposition and limit every action item to members only...that way we will never get a mass response that is required for such an initiative.
We have 29 guests viewing this thread as I type! Can we make this forum members only? IMHO they are not adding any value and may contain prying anti's in their mix....

I think taking second/third opinion is going to help and as far as your wife Immigiration case .. I think some members mentioned about talking to Attorney .. You can also drop a email to Sheila Mutrhy and Rajive Khanna. I am sure they will come out and help...
